Applications are invited from dedicated and qualified candidates for the position of Teacher in various subjects in 130 Army Public Schools situated across the country. The details about the vacancies are given below:

QUALIFICATION:
Candidates must possess minimum 50% marks in Post Graduation or higher level of education. BEd is compulsory.AGE: For fresh cases-Below 40 years.For teachers who are or were working earlier and have put in at least five years of service in preceding ten years in any recognized school, are permitted if they are below 57 years. (As on 1st April, 2012)

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Candidates willing and eligible for the above positions may send their application duly filled in the prescribed format available on the school's website, www.awes.nic.in Application form in duplicate is available at any Army school on nominal payment of Rs.10/-. Candidates are required to paste their recent pass
port size photograph in the appropriate place. A Demand Draft of Rs.165/- drawn in favour of the concerned Army Public School should be submitted along with the application form on or before 15th October, 2011 to any Army Public School where the candidate wishes to appear for the interview. The candidate should not forget to collect the admit card for written examination which is required to be produced at the time of written examination.

SELECTION PROCEDURE: 
The selection procedure includes four stages.
(I) Processing of Application Form
(II) All India Written Test
(III) Interviews
(IV) Evaluation of Teaching Skills
Once the application form is submitted the candidate will be called to sit for a written test. The candidates who qualify the written test will be called for an interview. The selection of the candidate would be made purely on his/her performance basis.
(i) To qualify for PRT, candidate must score 50% in paper A.
Total marks is 200.
(ii) To qualify for PGT/TGT, candidate must score 50% in each paper A & B. Total marks is 200.
(iii) PGT/TGT qualifying in paper A, candidate entitles for a PRT 'score card'.
(iv) Candidates who qualify in the written test will be given 'AWES Score card'. This card is valid for life provided that the candidate has taken a teaching assignment in any recognized school within three years of its issue.
(v) Candidate may see the result and collect the AWES Score card between 6th to 11th February, 2012 in the school from where the candidate appeared for the written test.
