Sri Ankit Verma, learned Standing Counsel, holding brief of Sri Ajit Kumar Singh, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel submits that Sri Singh wants accommodation for a day on some personal ground.
This Court on 5.10.2020 passed the following order:
"Learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel has submitted that Sri Ajit Kumar Singh, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel will argue this case and this case may be adjourned today.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has raised objection and submits that the writ petition itself would become infructuous as the list will be finalised.
In view of the above, it is directed that the matter be put up on 12.10.2020 in the additional cause list.
It is made clear that on that date, no adjournment will be granted."
The counsel appearing for the petitioner has put in physical appearance before the Court.
In the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, counsel cannot be forced to keep coming to the Court to face adjournments only and therefore, the Court takes� serious view of the matter. However, in the� interest of justice the matter is adjourned.
