Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of School Education & Literacy, Government of India, invites ON LINE  applications through the link (RECRUITMENT OF TEACHERS IN NVS - 2014) available on NVS website (i.e. www.navodaya.nic.in) from eligible Indian nationals for  drawing a panel of candidates for  filling up of the posts of Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) &  Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) on DIRECT RECRUITMENT BASIS in the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas located in various districts of the country.  Subject wise & Category wise break up of tentative vacancies is as under:-

1. Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) in Commerce / Economics / English/ Physical Education
Experienced qualified Teachers to teach Senior Secondary Classes (XI & XII). Qualification –Post Graduate in the subject plus recognised Degree in Education.
Candidates who have cleared AWES CSB Exam will be given preference.

2. Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) English/Maths
Experience qualified Teachers to teach Secondary Classes (VI – X). Qualification – Graduate in the subject plus recognised Degree in Education.
Candidates who have cleared CTET & AWES CSB Exam will be given preference.

3. Primary Teachers (All Subjects)
Experienced Qualified Teachers to teach all subjects in Primary Classes. Qualification – Graduate & Recognised Degree in Education.
Candidates who have cleared CTET & AWES CSB Exam will be given preference. Note:- Min 50% marks in each qualifying Exam for the above.

4. Clerk
Graduate. Knowledge of Computers & Basic accounting.

5. Drivers
Holding Heavy Passenger Motor Vehicle License plus five years experience in driving Heavy/Light Passenger Vehicle Tata/ Mahindra Bus etc. Salary Consolidated Rs. 9000/- plus per month.

6. Group - D
Preferably well experienced Carpenter / Plumber / Gardener (Mali)/Bus Attendant/ Safaiwala/ Runners trades. Minimum Qualification VIII Std Pass. Salary consolidated Rs. 8000/- plus per month.

CSB EXAMINATION : 2013 

  General 

1.      There are approximately 7000 teachers on the rolls of  the 133 Army Public Schools(APS) under AWES.  

Out of that, approximately 1000 get turned over every year.  The vacancies will be projected by the Schools 

while advertising for holding interviews for selection of teachers at the beginning of the academic year. 

2.       To qualify for interview, the candidates have to pass a Screening Examination which is held by HQ AWES 

centrally.  The next exam will be held on 08 Dec 2013.  The general guidelines for candidates are given in the 

succeeding paragraphs.

3. AWES is running 133 Army Public Schools across the country which are all affiliated to CBSE.  A List of 

these schools is placed at Appendix A. 

Selection of Teachers 

4. Categories of Teachers:  The exam will be held for the posts of PGT/TGT/PRT for all subjects (List placed 

at Appendix B).  

5. Vacancies. This will vary from School to School.  A clear picture of vacancies existing in Schools will 

emerge only at the beginning of an academic year.  Based on the vacancies available, schools advertise for 

interview. Appointments will be made as per CBSE/AWES Rules. 

6.      Qualifications.   The requisite qualifications are:- 

 (a)       Educational/Professional Qualifications:-
