UTET : Uttarakhand TET, 2794 merit holders to be given appointment letters by 30th September
Primary School teachers selected in the year long merit list of Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test will be given appointment letters soon. The notification came from the Department of Education, Uttarakhand which published its report in a newspaper, regarding the handling of letters by 30th September, 2014.
The Teacher Eligibility test by Uttarakhand Government was held to select eligible candidates for appointment as Primary Teachers for Classes I-V.
As quoted in a newspaper by S. Raju, Chief Secretary School Education, Uttarakhand, the Basic Education department will intervene as per orders given by the High Court in context of appointment of the unemployed teachers.
Director of Basic Education, R. K Puram has also confirmed of the news to provide confirmation to the selected 2794 candidates. After the fulfillment of formalities by the High Court, The Department of Basic Education made preparations to carry out this process.
National Council for Teacher Education (NTCE) decided not to consider a B.Ed degree for the post of Primary teacher and such consideration will be valid in Uttarakhand only till 30th September, 2014.
So, the step will help to fill teacher post lying vacant and give employment to candidates selected in the merit list of TET exam. The appointments will be done on regular and backlog post basis.
