UPTET SARKARI NAUKRI News - 82 Marks SC Candidate provisionally allowed to appear in JRT counseling -

Heard learned counsel for the parties.
Petitioner herein, belongs to the scheduled caste category. She appeared in the Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) Examination, 2011 and has secured 82 marks. As the questions were of one mark each, therefore, according to the petitioner, it was not possible for her to achieve 82 marks. Considering this aspect the C.B.S.E. and National Council of Teachers Education (NCTE) clarified the position and decided that for all the scheduled caste candidates, 82 is the cut-off mark for passing, but it appears that the State Government was initially not following the said decisions. The matter came up before this Court and various writ petitions were filed, in some of which, interim orders have been passed allowing such candidates to appear for counselling based on 82 marks obtained by them.
In pursuance to the aforesaid order dated 4.2.2015, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel has placed before the Court an order of the State Government dated 2.1.2015 by which the provisional TET certificate has been ordered to be issued to such candidates who had secured 82 marks in TET Examination, 2011 and belonged to the reserved category, which is taken on record.
In pursuance to the above, it is provided that if the petitioner has secured 82 marks in TET Examination, 2011, then she shall be issued provisional TET Certificate and based thereon, she shall be allowed to appear in the counselling for appointment to the post of Assistant teacher in the Junior Schools as and when the same is held, provisionally, subject to the result of the writ petition.
Let a Counter Affidavit be filed by the opposite parties within four weeks.

Learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel is directed to communicate this order to the concerned authorities.
