The petitioners applied for appointment on the post of Assistant Teacher in Primary School run by State of U.P., Basic� Shiksha Parishad pursuant to advertisement dated 30 November 2011. The petitioners� qualified� in� T.E.T. Examination 2011 (Primary Level).
It is contended by learned counsel for the petitioners that the petitioners could not appear for counseling at district Lalitpur though they were having merit, hence the present writ petition seeking a direction to the authorities at district Lalitpur to consider the petitioners' case for counseling.
Learned counsel for the respondents would submit that the counsellings are over and since the petitioners have not appeared, they cannot be given permission as it would amount to permitting all such candidates who could not appear for counseling on the particular date.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, I find no merit in the present petition.
The writ petition is accordingly, dismissed.
However, dismissal of writ petition shall not preclude the petitioners from appearing in future counseling, if it is so advertised.
