It is contended by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the Basic Shiksha Adhikari has issued an advertisement calling applications for appointment of 720 posts of Assistant Teachers in Senior Basic School (Science and Math) whereas the actual vacancy is only 98.
It is further contended that under the U.P. Basic Education (Teachers Service) Rules, 1981, 50%� posts have to be filled up by promotion.
Learned Standing Counsel may seek instructions in the matter.
Put up this case on 8.9.2015.
In the meantime, any appointment is made, the same shall abide by the result of the writ petition.
