UPTET : शिवकीर्ति सिंह होंगे मुख्य न्यायाधीश, इलाहाबाद हाई कोर्ट


UPTET : शिवकीर्ति सिंह होंगे मुख्य न्यायाधीश, इलाहाबाद हाई कोर्ट 

 पटना हाई कोर्ट के न्यायाधीश शिवकीर्ति सिंह इलाहाबाद हाई कोर्ट स्थानांतरित किए गए हैं। वह दो माह बाद इलाहाबादहाई कोर्ट के मुख्य न्यायाधीश का पदभार संभालेंगे। इलाहाबाद हाई कोर्ट के कार्यवाहक मुख्य न्यायाधीश अमिताभ लाला 13 नवंबर को सेवानिवृत्त हो जाएंगे। शिवकीर्ति सिंह उनकी जगह लेंगे। न्यायाधीश रफत आलम ने आठ अगस्त को इलाहाबाद के मुख्य न्यायाधीश के पद से अवकाश ग्रहण किया था। उसके बाद जस्टिस अमिताभ लाला को कार्यवाहक मुख्य न्यायाधीश बनाया गया था

Hon’ble Mr Justice Shiva Kirti Singh (M.A., LL.B.) was born on November 13, 1951. He passed Senior Cambridge examination from Sainik School, Tilaiya, graduated in Political Science (Hons.) from Patna College, completed post graduation in the same subject from Patna University, passed LL.B. examination from Patna Law College, all in first division. He belongs to a family of eminent legal luminaries. He is grandson of late Justice B. P. Sinha who rose to be the Chief Justice of India between 1961 and 1964. His father, late Justice Shambhu Prasad Singh was an eminent civil lawyer and a Judge of Patna High Court between 1967 and 1979 and was also Acting Chief Justice for sometime. His maternal uncle late Justice R.P. Sinha was also a Judge of Patna High Court.

 Justice Shiva Kirti Singh was enrolled as an Advocate on March 17, 1977 and was designated Senior Advocate on January 17, 1990. He practiced in the Patna High Court in all kinds of cases- Civil, Criminal, Service and Constitutional. He was counsel for the Bihar State Electricity Board for several years. He was elevated as a Permanent Judge of the Patna High Court on December 29, 1998. He is Executive Chairman of the Bihar State Legal Services Authority since 7th March, 2006. He became Acting Chief Justice of Patna High Court in May 2009 for about four months, again in September 2009 for about same period and for the third time in May 2010 for a lesser period
