PSTET Punjab : TET Pass Teachers Union demands for filling up the posts on merit

FEROZEUR: The education department seems to be losing its grip over its policies.

Almost daily the teachers of almost all the categories are demonstrating to protest for acceptance of their demands. It has been observed that the recruitment policies are not properly framed resulting in protests, demonstrations, agitations etc. There is need to issue clear instructions at the time of recruitment of teachers in any category to avoid any controversy and consequences at a later stage.  Only the long term policies are successful if they properly studied before implementation.

In this context, now the TET Pass Teachers Union has come forward and staged a strong protest at a meeting in the Saragarhi Complex for filling the posts advertised before the TET on the basis of merits.

Addressing the protestors, Pardip Singh Baboo, Ramit Goyal, Sunil and Sikandar warned the government to immediately give appointment letters to the teachers who have passed the eligibility test failing which they will intensify the agitation in whole of the Punjab.
