Arunachal Qualified Teachers Demands More Posts

Arunachal Qualified Teachers Demands More Posts

The central executive committee of Arunachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test Qualifier’s Association (APTETQA) appealed to the state government to immediately create posts for APTET qualified teacher aspirants. “There are about 1925 teacher aspirants, who have cleared Arunachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET), as per the Right To Education Act 2009 guidelines,” APTETQA president Boria Atung said talking to reporters in Itanagar Press Club on.
“The number of qualified teacher aspirants is increasing,” Atung said adding that the state government has failed to create adequate number of regular PRT and TGT post. He said regular Primary Recruited Teacher (PRT) and Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) posts should be created which should be filled up by direct recruitment through batch and year wise of APTET cleared candidates.
“No further APTET examination should be conducted till complete absorption of existing APTET qualified candidates,” Atung demanded.
The association also appealed for relaxation of age, in respect of in-service SSA teachers, who qualified APTET examination while regularization against the created post. It further demanded that APTET should be made compulsory eligible criteria for recruitment of TGT under the department of both elementary and secondary education to have uniformity.
The recruitment of TGT (secondary) should be conducted through directorate of secondary education and not Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC), it said. “If TGT teacher aspirants are to be recruited through APPSC then having APTET qualification will hold no meaning,” said Atung.
On being informed that the recruitment of TGT through APPSC is mandatory under Arunachal Pradesh Education Act 2010, Atung said that it can be reviewed and modified. The association also objected to the inclusion of the clause, “Number of posts may vary”, in jog advertisements should be done away with, saying that there should be minimum number of wait listed candidates for an interview.

Two Separate Tests for TET, DSC Irk Teacher Aspirants

Published: 06th November 2015 05:14 AM

HYDERABAD:The school education department’s recent proposal to conduct two separate tests for the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) and teacher recruitment test (DSC), has upset the teacher aspirants as the lengthy process for both tests is likely to delay the recruitment.

Teacher aspirants alleged that separation of TET from DSC exam is nothing but a deliberate attempt to delay the recruitment process. Thousands of aspirants who have been waiting for DSC notification are now furious over government’s plans to conduct two separate tests for TET and DSC.

Rajendra Prasad, a DSC aspirant from Hyderabad, said “Vacancies in every district have already been identified. We expected the notification to be issued by January. If TET is held before the DSC is announced, it would take much longer for  issuance of DSC notification.” He said all those who have been preparing would be affected if two tests are held for TET and DSC.

Apart from this, the syllabus for both the tests is also likely to be revised.  Krishna Nayak, a teacher aspirant from Medak district, said “To conduct two different tests, new syllabus must be prepared for both the tests. This will also affect our preparation.”

Though, the schedule for TET yet to be announced, sources in the school education department hinted that the test would be held in January. A proposal with the tentative schedule has already been sent to the state government, but it is yet to be approved. A list of vacant teaching posts in all districts was also prepared by the department.

However, the school education department advised the aspirants to wait till the official notification is issued. A senior official in the department said, “The proposal for separate exams is yet to be approved. Even if it is approved, there will not be any major changes in the syllabus.” He said TET is only a qualifying test and it would not have any impact on  DSC notification.

HYDERABAD: The dilemma over Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) and DSC recruitment test for teacher aspirants in the state  has finally come to an end, after the school education department has decided to conduct two separate exams for both. A detailed proposal with the tentative schedule for TET has already been sent to the state government and notification would be issued after its approval. DSC will be announced only after TET results are out.

Earlier, there was a proposal to conduct both TET and DSC together for recruitment of teachers. But, the proposal lacked clarity over the fate of those who have already qualified in the previous TET and are waiting for DSC notification. With the new proposal, it was made clear that only fresh candidates will have to take the TET  to appear for DSC.

Though the government has already prepared the list of vacant teaching posts in all the districts, the recruitment is unlikely to be done in this year.
Owing to the long process of TET exam, it would take at least six months to issue DSC notification, according to a senior official of the school education department.

Since the notification would be delayed for six more months, teacher aspirants and teacher associations are expecting more posts to be added to the list, as the senior teachers from several districts would retire soon.

It might also come down, if the government merges some of the schools where enrollment is far low.  School education director T Chiranjeevulu said, “The list of vacant posts for all the subjects has already been prepared, but it is too early to comment whether more posts would be added to the list when notification comes out.”

As per the available data with the school education department, currently there are around 10,961 vacant teacher posts in government schools in all the districts. The state government recently appointed Vidya Volunteers to fill the vacant posts. But, many of the schools lack teachers for subjects like mathematics, science and English.

TET and DSC Combined TERT This Year

AP TERT 2013
Mega DSC TERT 2013, Jumbo DSC TERT 2013, TERT 2013 is to be Issued, Teachers Eligibility Recruitment Test

At Last This Year the Govt of A.P. is decided to conduct Teachers Eligibility Recruitment Test (TERT) 2013. TERT is for Recruitment of Teachers in Govt Schools of Andhra Pradesh, TERT is including TET and DSC.

Andhra Pradesh  government had taken a decision to conduct one common examination to filling the Teacher posts in all over Andhra Pradesh. So they decided to conduct TEST 2013(Teach Eligibility and Selection Test) or AP TEST 2013 likely AP government will release the AP Test 2013 notification released at January / February 2013. This kind of examination TEST 2013 will helpful for the both applicants TET and DSC to get the Teacher post in all over AP schools. The syllabus and examination Method of Test 2013 will be displayed soon.

TERT (Teacher Eligibility and Recruitment Test) will likely be conducted in place of DSC and TET. The AP State Govt has been recruiting Teachers through DSC. After that TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) examination was introduced as per NCTE norms. Govt has conducted TET twice a year in 2012. For DSC 2012, Govt invited applications from TET Qualified candidates only. TET score is valid for 7 years. But still there are so many students, who did not qualifying marks in TET Exam, and missed DSC 2012. In this situation, there was a talk, earlier in this year, that Govt will conduct only 1 Exam, that is TEST (Teacher Eligibility in Selection Test) instead of 2 Exams, namely DSC and TET. Govt has appointed a committee too in this matter. The committee has visited other states such as Tamilnadu and the recommendations are yet to come out

Previous TET Eligible Candidates Don't Worry :
Government has decided that, previous TET eligibility will be accepted for TERT. In TERT there is a provision to write Only Recruitment Test or TET and Recruitment Test combined. With this facility all the worries and tensions made by the candidates were gone.
