SSA Chandigarh Recruitment Processs is cancelled in Middle of Process.
State  TET Examination Pass candidates are not eligible for Union Territory posts.

चंडीगढ़। शिक्षा विभाग ने सर्व शिक्षा अभियान (एसएसए) के तहत चल रही 653 जेबीटी शिक्षकों की भरती प्रक्रिया को बीच में ही रद कर दिया है। बुधवार को एसएसए की गवर्निंग बाडी की मीटिंग में यह फैसला हुआ है। अमर उजाला ने ही शिक्षकों की भरती प्रक्रिया रद किए जाने की खबर को सबसे पहले प्रकाशित किया था। भर्ती में नियमों के विपरित सीटीईटी के अलावा स्टेट पास वालों को भी योग्य माना गया था।

मार्च में विभाग की ओर से जीबीटी पदों के लिए निकाले विज्ञापन में पंजाब और हरियाणा राज्य के स्टेट एलिजिबिलटी टेस्ट (स्टेट) पास युवाओं को भी आवेदन की छूट दे दी थी, जबकि एनसीईटी नियमों के तहत यूटी में सिर्फ सीटीईटी को योग्य माना गया है। इस फैसले पर 50 लोगों ने हाईकोर्ट में केस दायर कर दिया था। शिक्षा विभाग को आखिर में अपना फैसला वापिस लेना पड़ा। विभागीय सूत्रों के अनुसार अब एसएसए भरती में एनसीटीई नियमों को ही माना जाएगा।

अगस्त में 877 पदों की भरती
शिक्षा विभाग ने एसएसए के तहत अगस्त के पहले सप्ताह में 877 नए शिक्षकों की भरती की तैयारी शुरू कर दी है। इन पदों के लिए सीटीईटी पास होना अनिवार्य होगा। जानकारी अनुसार जेबीटी के 653 के अलावा टीजीटी के 224 पद भी भरे जाएंगे। टीजीटी पदों का विज्ञापन दो-चार दिन के अंतराल में निकाला जाएगा।

एसएसए शिक्षकों की भरती के लिए अगस्त के पहले सप्ताह में विज्ञापन जारी होगा। एनसीटीई नियमों को ही लागू किया जाएगा।

It looks teachers recruitments under RTE are highly affected with court's decision.
It is heard KVS matter disposed of in CAT (Central Administrative Tribunal) to conduct main/descriptive examination as process change in middle is against rules.

While the Centre had directed the UT Education Department to appoint regular teachers in the city’s government schools this year, the department has made it clear that recruitments to all the 872 teacher posts will be made on a contractual basis.

Citing reasons for this, UT Education Secretary, VK Singh said: “We do need regular teachers in our schools. We, however, need to first regularise teachers recruited under the Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) over the last nine years. If we will appoint the new lot on a regular basis, we will not be able to maintain seniority among the teachers”.

“ The regularisation of the senior SSA teachers will be ensured this year. The teachers who will be recruited this year will be regularised after an assessment of their performances,” Singh added.

In an attempt to meet the shortage of teachers in city government schools, the department had sought candidates for 219 posts of Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) and had also shortlisted 1,200 candidates for selection to 653 posts of Junior Basic Teachers (JBT). The recruitments of these teachers will be completed by May 15, while that of TGTs will conclude in July.

In a first, all the recruitments are being made online this year. The recruitment drive is being conducted after a gap of about four years. The UT Education Department had invited online applications from eligible candidates for posts of JBTs, last month. The term of contract will end on March 31, 2013. It is pertinent to note that no interviews will be conducted for selection of teachers and only those, who have qualified the Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET), will be eligible to apply for the posts.


A week after the closing date of applications, the list of applicants will be uploaded online. The list will indicate the particulars entered by the candidates and the score assigned as per selection criteria. The candidates, on merit, will then report for verification of original documents within a specified timeframe. Further, candidate-wise schedule for checking of original documents will be uploaded on the website: http://recruitment.cdacmohali.in.

At present, only 480 SSA teachers are working in the city’s government schools. The first lot were recruited in 2004. Till date, these teachers have been awaiting regularisation despite the Ministry of Human Resource and Development’s (MHRD) nod in this regard.
