UPSC Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2025
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct the Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2025 on February 9, 2025, for the recruitment of approximately 232 Group-A and Group-B Engineer positions (including 12 vacancies for PwD candidates). These positions fall under various engineering disciplines: Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronics & Telecommunication. (Advertisement No. 02/2025‐ENGG).

Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit: Candidates must be between 21 to 30 years as of 01/01/2025. Age relaxations are applicable for SC/ST/OBC and other eligible categories as specified.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold an engineering degree or equivalent qualifications. The acceptable qualifications include:
- Sections A & B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India)
- Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India)
- Associate Membership Examination Parts II and III/Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India
- Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London (after November 1959)
Note: For Indian Naval Armament Service (Electronics Engineering Posts) and Engineer Group A in Wireless Planning & Coordination Wing/Monitoring Organisation, an M.Sc. degree in Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics, or Radio Engineering is also acceptable.
Physical Standards: Candidates must meet the physical fitness standards specified in the official notification.
Application Process and Fee
- Application Fee: ₹200/- (Female/SC/ST/PwBD candidates are exempt from the fee).
- Fee payment can be made via SBI cash deposit, SBI net banking, or Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card.
How to Apply
Eligible candidates can apply online via the UPSC recruitment portal from September 18, 2024, to October 8, 2024, at https://upsconline.nic.in. Note: No application withdrawal will be allowed once submitted.
