TET 2011 results declared Manipur (Imphal)

TET 2011 results declared / TET certificates mandatory even in private schools Manipur (Imphal)

The result was declared today at the office of the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur by the Principle Secretary, Education (S), Dr J Sureshbabu and Secretary, BSEM, L Rajmohan in front of the media persons.
Out of the 26,274 candidates who appeared in Paper I test, 10,220 candidates passed.
The pass percentage was 37.90 %.
And out of the 15,680 candidates who appeared in the Paper II test, 7,107 candidates were able to get through, with the pass percentage at 45.32% .
Addressing media persons on the occasion, Dr Sureshbabu said that the TET certificates of the successful candidates will be given out by the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur within 4-5 days.
The successful candidates will have to bring their admit cards along with the other required documents while coming to get their certificates.
He further said that since the TET results have been declared, the notification for the recruitment of 2700 primary teachers under SSA will also be issued on first week of October.
Only TET passed candidates will be illegible for the recruitment.
The recruitment process will be done purely on merit basis with 50% of the marks scored in TET and another 50% from the candidate's academic performance will be considered.
He said that there is strict rule that a teacher should possess both TET and B Ed certificates.
But since Manipur is a state where there is less numbers of trained teachers, it has been decided by the central government to relax the eligibility criteria of teachers in the state restricting only to TET certificates and not B Ed certificates, after request from the state government.
The decision came after a notification was issued by the Central government.
It further said the candidates holding only TET certificates will be allowed to appear in the recruitment process of teachers only upto 2013.Beyond that, candidates applying for the post of teachers will have to hold both TET and B Ed certificates.
He further said that an order will shortly be issued where recruitment of teachers even in private schools will also require the TET certificates.

  2. those who has passed paper II should be eligible for the post of lower primary teacher but not vice-versa

why more weightest is given to lower primary teachers recruitment even though passed percentage is higher in paper II test.there is a big difference in the vacancy in the lower and upper primary teachers recruitment.
